Talking to CVG, EA Sports big cheese Peter Moore has explained that even though there is a big gap between FIFA and Pro Evo right now, they know that Konami has the talent and capability to catch up. Moore isn’t too worried though as the FIFA team is too paranoid about complacency to let that lead slip. “The one thing we have in the FIFA team is an absolute paranoia about complacency. Whilst you say there's clear water between us and Pro Evo, EA Canada's mentality is that the competitor is breathing right down their necks.” More from the interview after the break. Moore also revealed that some of the FIFA team actually worked on Pro Evo, which would explain a lot. “A number of them actually worked on Pro Evo. They know the capability -as do I - of the very talented team at Konami has. They also know that you're at your most vulnerable when you think you're winning.” He also said that while World Cup 2014 may well be available as DLC, this year’s game is too big to not release as a standalone title. “We've got all 199 teams, all the South African stadiums, you've got a good chunk of home stadiums for the teams involved. Make no mistake, this is a seriously big game.” Read the full interview on CVG. |
